CHTHONIC Joined By TURISAS Violinist At Germany's WACKEN OPEN AIR Festival (Video)

Professionally filmed video footage of Taiwanese metallers CHTHONIC performing the song "Takao" — with a special guest appearace by violinist Olli Vänskä of Finnish "battle metal" warriors TURISAS — on August 2 at the Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany can be seen below.

CHTHONIC's sixth full-length effort, "Takasago Army", was released in North America last September via Spinefarm Records. Produced by Rickard Bengtsson (ARCH ENEMY, NEMESIS) at Sweet Spot Studios in Halmstad, Sweden, this 10-track outing completes a trilogy of CHTHONIC releases, telling a story that binds together the band's "Seediq Bale" and "Mirror Of Retribution" albums, released in 2007 and 2009, respectively.

Former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman joined CHTHONIC on stage at the Fuji Rock Festival on July 29 at Naeba Ski Resort in Yuzawa-machi, Niigata, Japan.
